Nearly 900 people in Fontana are without power Saturday, Jan. 1, with the problem expected to be resolved by 6 p.m. An alert sent by Southern California Edison stated that the outage resulted from “a failed underground cable” near Indigo Court and Village Parkway. It affected about 897 residents. The outage began at 3:35 p.m. Friday, Dec. 31, according to Edison’s website.
