More than 15,000 DTE customers in the metro Detroit area were without power Wednesday morning due to strong winds. The outages were scattered across the region with most centering around Ann Arbor, Detroit, Farmington Hills, West Bloomfield and Detroit Metro Airport, according to DTE Energy. DTE did not provide restoration estimates and warned they could take a while because it's dangerous for crews to repair power lines in dangerous winds.
