A power outage affected more than 18,000 in Bend Thursday morning, knocking out power to a number of schools and downtown businesses.The outage largely affected customers in the area of Boyd Acres Road between Empire Avenue and Butler Market Road. Pacific Power said it was still investigating the cause of the transmission issue, but has largely focused its efforts on the power station near Pioneer Park.
