About 3,000 utility customers in Greater Lansing were without electrical service Wednesday morning after a storm system brought strong winds and heavy snow to the region. According to Consumers Energy's outage map, about 2,500 customers were in the dark, including about 1,200 in Eaton County and a little more than 1,000 in Clinton County, about 11:30 a.m. The biggest outages were in the Eaton Rapids and the Eagle Township areas. Consumers Energy shows outages affectin 26,644 customers Wednesday afternoon.Outage link: www.consumersenergy.com/outagemap
