Hundreds of residents in the northern parts of California are without power Sunday in El Dorado, Nevada, and Placer counties as a winter storm sweeps the Sierra bringing blizzard conditions. According to the Pacific Gas and Electric outage map, about 1,024 customers in El Dorado County are without power. About 1,123 customers in Nevada County are without power, and all of them are located in unincorporated Nevada County. Additionally, Liberty Utilities is showing about 1,552 customers affected in Portola, Plumas County. the cause of the outage is listed as loss of supply.
