Widespread outage impacted the Grand Haven area on Monday, September 9. The Grand Haven Board of Light & Power says the outage took place after a protective relay failed at one of its substations. Several buildings were without power, including the high school, Lakeshore Middle, White Pines Intermediate, and the elementary schools of Ferry/Voyager, Griffin, Mary A. White, and Peach Plains.
