More than 7,000 Concord-area residents were among PG&E customers without power Tuesday afternoon as high winds hit Central Contra Costa County, knocking down trees and power lines. There were 5,661 Concord customers impacted by an outage that started at 11:46 a.m. Tuesday. PG&E confirmed the outage was weather-related. Another 2,300 Concord-area customers were impacted by outages that started at 1:47 p.m. and 1:57 p.m. Tuesday and were also caused by the weather, according to PG&E.
