Many areas of the Adirondacks, and areas closer to Albany deal with thousands of power outages due to ice after an early spring storm knocked out power to at least 85,000 National Grid customers at 9 p.m. Saturday. Trees toppled and branches snapped under the weight of accumulating ice, bringing down power lines around several upstate counties.
