Strong winds battered the Portland metropolitan area overnight, leaving many left without power. Portland General Electric had almost 7500 affected customers reported by around 5 a.m. Thursday morning, while Pacific Power reported 116. Beaverton and Mill Park were hit the hardest by the winds, with over two thousand customers affected in each of those areas.
