A line of severe thunderstorms swept through Bay County and the surrounding area during the morning hours causing power outages to pop up. The power outage is currently affecting the Bay County Court Facility at 1230 Washington Avenue and the Bay County Health Department at 1200 Washington Avenue in downtown Bay City. Both facilities will be closed for the remainder of the day. As of 1:05 p.m., Bay City Electric Light & Power is estimating that it will be 3-4 hours for power restoration in the Banks area and 12-14 hours in the North Madison area.Outage link: www.baycitymi.org/288/Electric
