A power outage was reported near Bay Boulevard next to Interstate 5 in Chula Vista when a car crashed into a power pole and brought it down at around 5:30 a.m. on Sunday, Jun 23. When the power pole fell, it also took down heavy cables with it, some of which were across the I-5 freeway at about head level.
