A contractor doing work for Atlantic Municipal Utilities (AMU) caused the power outage on Monday afternoon in Atlantic, according to AMU General Manager. The outage affected approximately 2,400 people, and included most of Atlantic and customers south of town as well. Places like Mahle and Elite Octane were not affected by the outages, and the power was out for approximately an hour.Outage link: amu1.net/
