Georgia Power reported a power outage affecting over 2,000 customers in the areas of Moon Road to Airport Thruway to Interstate 185 to Veterans Parkway and areas of JR Allen Parkway to Veterans Parkway to Whitesville Road to Smith Road. Numerous traffic lights were out, including busy intersections like Veterans Parkway at Double Churches Road and Veterans Parkway at Whittlesey Boulevard.
