Safety Report: Nitric Acid Spill and Fire Tucson, Tucson, AZ, USA

Truck crashed carrying nitric acid that leaked for hours into the air in Tucson. The day was very windy but people were advised to shelter inside and turn off heat and air conditioning. I live approximately 5 miles north and east of the spill but in direct path of wind that day and given this happened in the flat desert could see the particulate in the air. National and local news outlets such as www.npr.org/2023/02/15/1157174863/tucson-hazardous-chemical-spill-evacuation-arizona are reporting on status now and are only hinting at potential health affects possible for those in immediate radius (approximately 1 mile) but what about impacts to water and environment especially given there are reservoirs in a 5 mile radius.
