Safety Report: Fake Offers of Merchandise by a False Bed Bath & Beyond, 17230 Sheffield Dr, La Habra, California, USA

Fake Offers of Merchandise by a False Bed Bath & Beyond, 17230 Sheffield Dr, La Habra, California, USA

Sheffield Drive, La Habra, 90631 California, United States

17230 Sheffield Dr., La Hambra, CA is the return address on a package containing a cheap, useless knee brace that was mailed “accidentally” to me in place of a cordless vacuum cleaner. The vacuum was offered by someone on Facebook purporting to be Bed Bath & Beyond selling off the last of its merchandise as it goes out of business. It is not Bed Bath & Beyond. I followed this scam until it played out. I reported it to my credit card company when the scammer asked me to mail the brace back to them in China at a cost of nearly $100. In the end, the scammer offered to refund the cost of mailing and 75% of the money paid for the vacuum if I returned the brace to a Chinese address I suspect is fictitious. I didn’t mail the item, but if I had I believe the scammer would inform me that my package didn’t arrive - no fault of theirs, of course - and they would keep my money because they didn’t receive the brace. The same refund offer was made for a quarter-sized vinyl key tag I received in place of an air fryer. The return address on that package was 21278 N. O’Malley Way, Upland, CA 91784. Neither of these street addresses exists. My lengthy correspondence with the “seller” of the vacuum and air fryer went to info@watebed.com.
