The city of Grand Prairie announced Tuesday night, September 3rd that a foaming agent was detected in the water north of I-20. The city says that foam that was used to fight a fire in the warehouse district on Tuesday was detected in the city's water supply. Crews are working to mitigate this issue.The city says tap water should not be used for drinking, cooking, brushing teeth, washing dishes, or making ice. Even pets and animals should not drink tap water.
The city is setting up water distribution stations.
The water bottle distribution began Wednesday morning at Lone Star Park
