The employer is not following the CDC recommendations for isolation of exposure when they have a positive case. An employee tested positive that lives in a group setting that other employees also live and they were told they could return after 5 days with a negative test. I am uncertain if the other employees that were exposed to him were notified that they were exposed to a positive case. The 5 day quartine is useless when symptoms may not appear until days 7-9. It was told to the employees that he had a mild case, at the time of his positive test that is not a safe assumption to make with COVID. Production vs. Employee health is the question at hand. Ultimately by risking exposure to your employees you are risking exposure to millions. The medical staff at Claxton is apparently not well educated in COVID exposure, spread, and attempting to prevent the spread through infection control policies.
