1) Employees are potentially exposed to health hazards related to heat stress. It was reported that the air conditioner in a metal trailer workspace is not functional, occasionally exposing employees to temperatures above 100° F, and there has not been effective implementation of other controls to mitigate the risk of heat illness. Additionally, it was reported that the temperature in the main building has also reached hazardous levels. OSHA recommends temperature control in the range of 68-76° F. Contrary to 5(a)(1) of the OSH Act. 2) Employees are potentially exposed to struck-by hazards related to inadequate overhead protection. It was reported that construction work is occurring in USPS employees' work areas, and employees are exposed to struck-by hazards from falling objects without adequate protection. Contrary to 1926.100. 3) Employees are potentially exposed to health hazards related to inadequate COVID precautions. It was reported that high-touch surfaces, including in the restroom and customer areas, are not regularly disinfected. Contrary to 5(a)(1) of the OSH Act.Alleged Hazards: 3, Employees Exposed: 6
