1. The employer has not established procedures for the prevention of the transmission of the COVID-19 virus in the workplace in accordance with CDC guidelines. Specifically, employees who have tested positive for the virus are not required to quarantine and the Human Resources Department is telling employees who have tested positive to come to work and not stay home, exposing other employees to the virus. Applicable OSHA Standard: Section 5(a)(1) of the OSH Act 2. Operators are not trained in the safe operation of powered industrial trucks. Operators have run vehicles into industrial storage racks and the compactor and frequently back up onto pallets on the floor. Employees are exposed to struck-by hazards. Applicable OSHA Standard: 29 CFR 1910.178 3. The warehouse floor is cluttered with broken pallets and garbage, creating tripping and vehicular hazards.
