Regulatory Report
3315 South Alameda Street, Corpus Christi, 78411 Texas, United States
Employees on the 2nd floor IMU turned ICU must stay in a Covid-19 patient room to monitor a transport monitor for the 2nd patient for their entire 12 hour shift. The other patient has monitors outside the room but because the hospital has to double up these rooms a nurse is required to stay their 12 hour shift in the room to monitor the other patient. Both patients are Covid-19 positive. The nurse has a gown, gloves, face shield and a green foldable face mask. Employees can ask for a 3M N95 but they are required to wear and reuse it for a week. Covid-19 and non-Covid-19 patients are being mixed together in the ER. The patients are doubled up in rooms and in the hallway. There are now 3 ICU Units and ICU 1 has open bays with no isolation. There are currently 180 Covid-19 positive patients in the combined ICUs. Family members are allowed to go to the Covid-19 patient rooms and the hospital provides them gowns, gloves, face shields and the green foldable face masks but the supply runs out and then there is not any PPE for the employees.Alleged Hazards: 4, Employees Exposed: 300
