Regulatory Report

Covid-19 OSHA Complaint, McDonald's #17170, 121 E Main St, SPRING ARBOR, MI, 49283, USA

4 years ago business

121 East Main Street, Spring Arbor, 49283 Michigan, United States

1. In the work area employees are unable to stand more than 2 feet (or less) from each other, meaning that co-workers can very easily be exposed to Covid-19. 2. Employees are not allowed to wear gloves, unless they are preparing food. We are dealing directly with the public when working the drive-thru window and we are being told that gloves are not allowed due to a shortage. 3. Some employees decided to wear face masks, we were told by management they are not allowed in the food place because they carry germs. 4. Gloves are not mandatory at this particular facility. Members of management have been observed preparing food without gloves being worn. 5. The company does not have, nor do they enforce handwashing guidelines. 6. Employee working the drive-thru requested that a plastic shield be installed. Management said other McDonald's have tried shields and it caused spillage of food and beverages. 7. There are no disinfecting guidelines put in place, employees are bringing in their own Lysol and Clorox wipes to disinfect commonly touched surfaces.
