Regulatory Report
1509 Harrison Avenue, Centralia, 98531 Washington, United States
An outbreak of Covid-19 has occurred within the confines of the Sharon Care facility. Currently, it is known by the CDC and the WA State Department of Health that two employees and one resident have tested positive for the disease. What isn't known by them however, is that the Assisted Living/Memory Care Unit Administrator knew that various employees had been exposed to the disease prior to the outbreak and she allowed them to come into work without informing any of her subordinates or coworkers; and as a result, the disease has now made its way into the building. The two aforementioned employees who are out with confirmed cases of Covid-19 are among those who were allowed to come into work, despite said Administrator knowing of their possible exposure. They were not asked to self quarantine, coworkers and subordinates were not informed of possible exposure and I know of multiple instances of the Administrator not enforcing the usage of personal protective equipment (PPE) while among other staff and residents, within her own office; including her own neglect to do so. The amount of employees/residents who are affected by this behavior is upwards of 100 overall if I am including the entirety of the building, (along with the staff and residents of the skilled nursing facility connected to the Assisted Living and Memory Care Unit). I do not feel safe working in this environment, especially among other employees who are not taking the usage of PPE seriously.Source: Osha.gov | Receipt Date: 2020-08-07
