Regulatory Report

4233 Appletree Lane, Lansing, 48917 Michigan, United States

1. There is concern about the safety of the employees and clients that come through the facility. Employees are considered essential but the only PPE provided are dust masks and it is not required to wear one in the homes. Employees that work in these homes are generally the only people wearing a mask out of 10 people. The only time employees have been required to wear a mask is when we had clients waiting to be picked up after developing a fever at our facility, which has happened twice. 2. It is nearly impossible to stay 6 feet apart in the home and it has never been asked of us by our employer. Having 10 people in the home seems unsafe to me since every 8-10 hours new staff come in from different homes. Even though we are screened before coming in, there are concerns about the child clients who could be bringing the virus in without symptoms. 3. Often times employees run out of cleaning supplies and have to limit its' use. Frequently used areas are not being properly cleaned. 4. There is no paid time off offered for our staff. There are no options for employees who are immunocompromised to take time off without losing a substantial amount of income. There was an incident in which a client came in whose mother had a high fever but because she said it was a tooth infection the client came in as normal.
