Regulatory Report

3700 Englewood Drive, Stow, 44224 Ohio, United States

1. There is no written Bloodborne Pathogen program and Infection Control Program in place at this facility. The workers have had to clean up after spills or other events that blood or other potentially infectious material was present. 2. The sharps containers are rarely emptied and workers have been cut or stuck by the sharps protruding from these boxes. 3. The biohazard waste is not handled correctly as there are bags and boxes that sit out in the hallway for passersby to hit or potentially break open. In many instances these bags contain contaminated PPE or other items that came from the Covid-19 treatment areas. 4. The employer does not make available the Safety Data Sheets on site for the numerous chemicals handled by the staff. 5. The parking lots, in particular the walkways are not kept clear of snow and ice after there has been a snowfall or freezing rain. 6. There are numerous outlets in the patient rooms and elsewhere that have been struck by and damaged by the patient beds and other equipment. On several occasions workers were shocked when they plug in equipment into these outlets.
