1. Administration and the nurse are not following proper COVID 19 protocol regarding contact tracing and quarantine to keep staff safe. 2. At both elementary schools, there have been incidents where exposed staff members who had been in contact with a known positive case at work for multiple hours were never informed, and then developed symptoms. 3. When a teacher or student is positive, the district nurse has told said person that they do not need to contact trace because they already know where it was transmitted, meaning close contacts are not being notified. 4. While students in school are three feet apart at their desks all day, when a student in a class tests positive, no other person in the class has been required to quarantine, not even those who sit near the positive case. When a teacher or student tests positive, nobody in the class, including parents, are informed of a positive case in their room. 5. Neighboring districts are closing classrooms with a positive case and being contacted daily by the health dept therefore the health dept. may not being contacted for all cases. 6. Parents have reported that upon telling the nurse their child was exposed, they were directed to watch for symptoms for 48 hours and return if none show. 7. A teacher who was exposed to a positive teacher for an extended period of time, and was told not to quarantine because they are short on subs. 8. Staff have waited over 24 hours after already been at work before finding out of another case in their building. They send out one letter, with fine print saying it actually represents three cases. 9.
