Regulatory Report

Covid-19 OSHA Complaint, Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation, 951 Walnut Street, EVANSVILLE, IN, 47713, USA

5 years ago business

951 Walnut Street, Evansville, 47713 Indiana, United States

They are re-opening for school. The school district has stated that they have PPE available to employees. The employees are being told to buy their own PPE to supplement what is being provided. The school corporation has indicated that they have N95 masks available to higher risk employees, but they have not provided additional information regarding availability of PPE. The employees were advised to provide their own cleaning supplies and sanitizer as they are not sure if the employer will have an adequate supply of these items. They are not informing employees of the specifics of the availability of supplies for PPE equipment, cleaning, and sanitizing supplies. The plans are very vague. In the re-opening procedure, they say that high-traffic, high-touch areas will be disinfected regularly, but will give no specifics as to what regularly means. The employees are not being informed as to what the cleaning schedule will be or whether they will have to complete their own disinfecting. The corporation is not requiring students to wear a mask once they are inside the classroom. They claim that students are socially distanced at six feet apart. Once students are at their desk, they are able to take their masks off. The teacher will be within six feet of students all day long.
