Regulatory Report

Covid-19 OSHA Complaint, Saturn Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, 1930 West Sugar Creek Road, Charlotte, NC 28262, USA

5 years ago business

1930 West Sugar Creek Road, Charlotte, 28262 North Carolina, United States

1. There has been an outbreak of COVID-19 at the facility this week, involving both residents and employees (21 total cases). The employer is only just now providing employees with N95 respirators and gowns, which have been boxed up and secured. Employees are concerned for their health and feel that the employer is not taking all appropriate actions to lessen the spread of the virus. 2. A staff member was sick last week on December 4, 2020, and was told they could not leave, since the COVID-19 test was negative. On Monday, December 7, 2020, the employee tested positive for the virus and residents and employees in the employee's work area have now all tested positive for the virus. 3. There is concern that the tests being done onsite are not accurate. Swabs are not being put far enough into the employees' noses which could be giving a false negative test. 4. If employees test positive for the virus, they are required to stay at work and be on the COVID-19 floor.
