Regulatory Report

Covid-19 OSHA Complaint, Bay Human Services, 1300 North Michigan Avenue, Saginaw, MI 48602, USA

1300 North Michigan Avenue, Saginaw, 48602 Michigan, United States

1. The Saginaw Autism Plus location is not large enough to accommodate 10-15 employees along with 5-10 clients while maintaining a 6 foot distance. Very few clients wear masks, and staff frequently removes mask entirely or pulls mask below nose. This puts other staff and clients at risk. 2. Employees are required to transport clients in their personal vehicles as well as company vehicles when clients are not wearing masks. Vehicles are not routinely sanitized. 3. There are numerous toys circulating for use of clients that are consisting of materials such as fabric, sand, and paper. These toys cannot be properly sanitized and are frequently touched by clients and staff. 4. Sanitization of kitchen, toy room, hallways, bathrooms, and play room does not occur after each use. Food in kitchen area are in containers that are touched by many people, including some clients. 5. There are postings that discourage employees from using physical reinforcement with clients, but many staff still come into physical contact with clients when it isn't necessary. 6. When staff report symptoms other than an increased temperature, management does not send them home or even ask about symptoms. I believe this issue stems from policies from the parent company, Bay Human Services.
