The employer is not enforcing social distancing or the use of face coverings to protect employees from potential exposure to COVID-19 in that:1. Employees do not wear face coverings when leaving the case area and access common such as the restrooms and also aisleways where other workers are present and in close proximity to move mail.
2. Carriers do not wear a face covering when accessing the hot case area. Social distancing cannot be practiced in the hot case area where a clerk is two feet away to distribute mail and carriers are shoulder to shoulder to obtain the mail.
3. Employees do not wear a face covering when visiting the designated parcel area. Social distancing cannot be practiced at the designated parcel area when multiple employees access bins which are staged side-by-side.
