Communication, Management and Community Issues, Oakman, AL, USA

Oakman, 35579 Alabama, United States

The Oakman Water Works of Oakman, Al has not been in communication with customers until customers started speaking out and asking questions. Many communities have not had water for 5 days. The issue actually started on January 9, 2023 but the customers was unaware. The office personnel have not been in office and water board members either will not answer, direct you to a Parrish Al water authorities, or tell you they do not have to answer any questions. The Mayor Cory Franks was unaware of the issue on January 17, 2023 but has been assisting to figure out a solution. The management of the Oakman Water Works is terrible. The office workers argue amongst each other and with board members. Board members do not have the knowledge or capability to handle issues. They had to contact Parrish Water Dept and sign a contract for there workers to take over repair maintenance. The Oakman Water Works should be capable of handling any issues that concur. At this time we still have no water and the same issues. We are told it's due to leaks, customers over using water that has water and tank can not fill up. Shut off valves should be in place to shut off water to every customer so tanks can fill up. 200 gallons of water per minute running in a 70,000 gallon tank should not be an issue if all valves can be shut off to all customers. I feel that 3 days of every customer being without water is better than weeks of Customers being without water. I am asking if your department or organization is over this Oakman Water Works to please take over, step up or shed some light on this issue. We the customers of Oakman Water Works need your help.
