A boil order is in place for all Elmhurst water customers for a big part of the city's south side, the city said. As a result of Nicor work in the afternoon, a water main break occurred at Poplar and Crescent avenues, the city said. Residents on the south side reported a loss of water or low water pressure. The boil order applies to an area bordered by Park Avenue to the north, York Street to the west, Butterfield Road to the south and Interstate 294 to the east.
