The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality alerted that public water system supply in Gardendale has been put on a boil notice. According to city officials, around 5:45 a.m. on Thursday, May 16, a leak occurred in one of the major lines between County Road 54 and County Road 56. Crews are working to get it fixed as soon as possible and water in some areas may be back on.
