A boil water advisory is in effect for some customers of Beech Island Water District due to a water main break. The advisory, which was issued shortly after 10 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 16, stated that there is no confirmed contamination, but “the potential for contamination exists” due to loss of water pressure.
