A power outage has been reported in Barnstable Monday morning due to damaged utility pole. According to Eversource's outage map about 5,500 customers lost power. Crews were in the area from 4 am through noon working on restorations.

Thousands of people were without power in Massachusetts early Saturday as a winter storm continued to sweep through the state. There were 5,917 customers across the commonwealth who did not have electricity shortly before 8 a.m., according to the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency’s online power outage map.

Barnstable County on Cape Cod had the highest number of customers without electricity of any county in Massachusetts at 3,752. There were 1,556 power outages in Middlesex County, 371 in Berkshire and 187 in Suffolk.
