Morovan is recalling its Gel Nail Polish Remover due to the presence of prohibited substances, methylene chloride and chloroform. The product was sold online via the Amazon website from August 2025 to January 2026.Hazard:
The nail polish remover was found to contain methylene chloride and chloroform, methylene chloride, in cosmetics, is a concern because it has been shown to cause cancer in animals and is likely harmful to human health. Methylene chloride is a prohibited ingredient which is not allowed in cosmetics at any level under FDA regulations.

- Packaged in a square turquoise bottle with a white cap.
- It has a production date of 02-07-2024
- An expiration date of 02-07-2027.
- Approximately 4,000 units are affected.
The recall was announced on April 9, 2026, and published by the FDA on April 13, 2026.
