The Federal Trade Commission reported that the number of complaints about scams involving ads on Facebook and other social media has more than tripled in the past year. A recent Reuters investigation revealed that Meta projected it would earn approximately $16 billion from advertising for scams and banned goods. Facebook exposes users to an estimated 15 billion fraudulent ads daily.

I received some white earmuffs today which I did not order. This is a scam beware of Facebook adverts for Amaxon recycling of laptops etc.

I ordered a punching pad via Facebook (anround £24) and received a quill style fountain pen worth £5 which I guess is their token for taking my money instead!
