The Federal Trade Commission reported that the number of complaints about scams involving ads on Facebook and other social media has more than tripled in the past year. A recent Reuters investigation revealed that Meta projected it would earn approximately $16 billion from advertising for scams and banned goods. Facebook exposes users to an estimated 15 billion fraudulent ads daily.

Ordered a product online, Facebook ad, and when I received it I had $6.55 postage due. Post office said the postage on the package was “fake”. I paid for postage when I ordered the product! There is no name on the package except the address. And of course, product was made in China!!

Unordered item received, but probably got scammed from a FaceBook ad. I received a ratchet screwdriver set today and I suspect it was supposed to be the composting 8 x 12 garden set I actually ordered. Going to file a dispute through PayPal and expose CANVASBITS.com as a fraudulent company.
