United States
GKKBSJ has announced a recall of Youbeien Crib Mobiles due to a risk of serious injury or death from battery ingestion. The product, which violates the mandatory toy standard for batteries, was sold on the Amazon website throughout the United States from May 2024 through April 2025.HAZARD:
These toys do not meet safety requirements for products with button batteries, as the battery compartment in the remote can be opened without using a standard household tool. Swallowing button or coin batteries can lead to severe injuries, such as internal burns, and may be fatal.
AFFECTED PRODUCT:
- Youbeien Crib Mobiles
- The product with timing function for music and lights comes in pink and purple and has a plastic arm that attaches to the side of a crib, a music box and four arms with dangling plastic animal characters (penguin, pig, lion, unicorn, and others).
- Measures about 17 inches wide by 20 inches high
- Comes with a remote to control music and rotation.
- The product packaging has the brand name “Youbeien” printed on the top left corner, “music rotating bed bell” printed on the front and back, and model “RT668-17” printed on a white label on the back.
- Approximately 3,000 units are affected by this recall.
The issue was identified due to the battery compartment being accessible without tools, posing a hazard. The recall was initiated on September 18, 2025.
