FDA announced the recall of 184 containers of Uneviscerated whole dried sardines used in raw pet food by What The Raw due to potential Clostridium botulinum contamination. This product was distributed to retail locations in Ohio (in 2022 and 2023) and Pennsylvania (in 2021 and 2022).The recalled product is:
- Single Dried Sardine packaged in shrink wrap. Individually sold. No labeling on the product. Codes: Lot No. 250402202223, 121110202122, 210510202324, 141228202223, 210620202324 Expiration Dates: 11/10/22, 04/02/2023, 12/28/2023, 05/10/2023, 06/20/2024.
This recall was initiated on 7/14/2023 and its status is ongoing. Do not consume, use, sell, serve, or distribute the recalled product.
