Vive Health Bed Rails recalled due to Risk of Serious Injury or Death, United States

Vive Health LLC has announced a recall of its adult bed rails due to risks of entrapment and asphyxiation. The recall affects approximately 122,000 units sold nationwide in the United States at medical supply stores and online platforms, including Amazon, from September 2019 through December 2025.

HAZARD:
When the recalled bed rails are installed, a person can become trapped either inside the rail or in the gap between the rail and the mattress. This creates a serious risk of entrapment and possible suffocation.

- Additional Information: Risk of entrapment and asphyxiation; associated with two reported deaths; previously partially recalled for later units (after August 21, 2023)

The issue was identified following reports of two entrapment deaths in September 2024. The recall is classified as a safety measure to prevent further incidents.
