Global Harvest Foods has recalled Signature Pet Care Songbird Blend Wild Bird Food 7 LB due to contamination with invasive Palmer amaranth seeds. The product was sold at Albertsons, Safeway, and Haggen stores in Washington and Oregon in the USA.AFFECTED PRODUCT:

- Has a UPC code of 021130037629
- A sell-by date of 01/10/2027 M3D S3501.
- The recall affects all units of this product distributed in the specified regions.
The issue was discovered when a Spokane County Noxious Weed Board employee identified Palmer amaranth in a Safeway parking lot. The recall was initiated after genetic testing confirmed the presence of the weed in the birdseed.
