Primark US has issued a recall for its Primark Water Balloon Pumps due to a risk of physical injury. The pumps, which can rupture under excessive pressure, were sold at Primark stores in the northeast, Florida, Maryland, and Illinois in the USA from March 2023 through July 2023.The recalled product includes:
- Primark Water Balloon Pumps
- Available in blue and pink
- Shaped like a water bottle with a spray head.
- The product code 5252801 is found on the price tag.
- Approximately 3,170 units are affected by this recall.
The recall was initiated after two reports in the United States and nine internationally of the pumps rupturing, causing cuts on users' hands and fingers. The recall was announced on December 4, 2025, and is classified as a safety recall.
