Sunbeam Products has announced a recall of its Oster French Door Countertop Ovens because the oven’s doors can unexpectedly close, posing a burn hazard to consumers. The recall affects approximately 1,290,000 units sold in the United States and about 104,195 units in Canada. The ovens were available at major retailers, including Bed Bath & Beyond, Costco, and Walmart, as well as online platforms like Amazon.AFFECTED PRODUCTS:
- Oster French Door Countertop Ovens
- Models include TSSTTVFDXL, TSSTTVFDDG, TSSTTVFDMAF, and TSSTTVFDDAF.
- These ovens feature a spring-loaded bilateral door made of glass with metal handles.
- The model number can be found on a label on the back of the oven.
- The original packaging has information identifying the model number.
- “Oster” is engraved on the front bottom right of the oven.
- The recall covers units sold from August 2015 through July 2025, priced between $140 and $250.
- The four models differ in cooking options (e.g., air fryer) and control types (analog dials or digital push-button controls).
The issue was identified after Sunbeam Products received 95 reports of the doors unexpectedly closing, leading to burn injuries. The recall was initiated on September 25, 2025.
