Gold Kernal LLC has issued a recall for its OasisSpace Bed Rails due to the risk of serious injury or death from entrapment and asphyxiation hazard. The product was distributed nationwide in the United States through the OasisSpace website, Amazon website, and Walmart website from July 2019 through February 2025. The products have also been found for sale by third-party sellers and on other websites such as eBay. About 86,100 bed rails were sold.AFFECTED PRODUCT
MODEL: OasisSpace Bed Rails - F042
- Dimensions: Adjustable height from about 28.5 to 42 inches; 17 inches wide
- Made of white metal tubing with a black foam rubber grip handle and blue suction cup feet.
MODEL: OasisSpace Bed Rails - F127
- Dimensions: Adjustable height from about 12 to 18 inches; 13 inches wide
- Made of silver metal tubing with a black foam rubber grip handle.
MODEL: OasisSpace Bed Rails - G132
- Dimensions: Adjustable height from about 18 to 22 inches; 13 inches wide
- Made of black metal tubing with a black foam rubber grip handle and a removable gray fabric pouch.
MODEL: OasisSpace Bed Rails - G286
- Dimensions: About 16 inches high and 38 inches wide
- Made of silver metal tubing and can fold downward when not in use.
The issue was identified in October 2023, in Ohio, after an 81-year-old woman died at her home after becoming entrapped between an OasisSpace bed rail and the mattress.
