Werner Co. has issued a recall for its 20’ and 24’ Multi-Max Pro Multi-Purpose Ladders due to a fall hazard. The ladders' locking mechanism may jam and not fully lock, posing a risk. 18 reported incidents of falls, resulting in injuries. 14 reports of injuries resulting in bruising, lacerations, head injuries, and fractures to the wrist, leg and ribs. These products were sold at Home Depot stores nationwide in the United States and online from November 2021 to February 2024. Approximately 122,250 units are affected.AFFECTED PRODUCTS:
- Werner 20’ and 24’ Multi-Max Pro multi-purpose ladder
- The ladders were sold in silver with a blue top and a blue label on the side rail.
- With the size and model number ALMP-20IAA or ALMP-24IAA.
- The ladders include a long black rope in the back section.
- The label includes an oval containing the word “Werner” next to the words “MULTI MAX PRO” along.
The recall was initiated on August 14, 2025. The recall is classified as a Fast Track Recall. The ladders were manufactured in China.
