Maison Lavande has issued a recall for its candles in a ceramic container due to a fire hazard. Candle flames can reach abnormally high levels, which can lead to fire, property damage, and personal injury. The candles, sold between May 1 and November 24, 2024, have been found to produce abnormally high flames, posing a risk of fire, property damage, and personal injury. As of December 11, 2024, the company has received 1 report of an abnormally high flame in Canada, with no damage or injury. The candles were sold by La Maison Lavande and La Fabrique des Filles, both located in Saint-Eustache, Quebec, Canada.The affected products include:
-Four different scented candles
- Under the Maison Lavande brand
Amber, Vanilla and Lavender (UPC 69357112003)
Eucalyptus Wood and Lavender (UPC 69357103006)
Grapefruit and Lavender (UPC 69357111003)
Cedar and Lavender (UPC 693571080030)
- The company has reported that 12,192 units of these products were sold in Canada.
- The candles were manufactured in China
Consumers are advised to not use the product and to return it to where they purchased it.
