Banghe Guangzhou International Trade Co., Ltd., doing business as KTEBO, has issued a recall for its KTEBO Writing Tablet Toys due to a risk of serious injury or death from battery ingestion. The toys, which violate the mandatory standard for toys, were sold online via Amazon in the United States from September 2025 through October 2025.HAZARD:
These toys do not meet the required toy safety standards because the screw that is supposed to keep the battery compartment closed can come loose. This compartment holds a button cell battery, and if a child swallows one of these batteries, it can lead to severe injuries, internal chemical burns, or even be fatal.
AFFECTED PRODUCT:
- KTEBO Writing Tablet Toys
- Sold in sets of two
- Available in four color variations: pink/blue, green/yellow, orange/blue, and purple/red.
- The toys come in two sizes, 8.5 inches and 10 inches
- And include a matching-colored stylus.
- Approximately 10,380 units are involved in the recall.
The issue was discovered due to the screw securing the battery compartment not remaining attached, posing a hazard if the button cell battery is ingested. No incidents or injuries have been reported. The recall was initiated on December 4, 2025.
