Kori Gey Water Elf Toy Kits recalled due to Safety Issue, United States

6 days ago source cpsc.gov

United States

Qaniy has issued a recall for Kori Gey Water Elf Toy Kits due to a risk of serious injury or death from battery ingestion. The toy kits, which violate the mandatory standard for toys containing button cell batteries, were sold on Amazon site in the United States.

HAZARD:
The toy kits do not comply with mandatory safety requirements for products containing button cell batteries. The battery compartment can be easily opened by children, creating a serious ingestion risk. If swallowed, button cell or coin batteries can cause severe internal injuries, chemical burns, and may be fatal.

AFFECTED PRODUCT:
- Kori Gey Water Elf Toy Kits
- Uses colored gel dropped into water to form soft, squishy jelly-like figures.
- The toy sets come in a plastic jar with lid.
- “Kori Gey” and “Water Elf Kit” are printed on the front of the toy kits.
- Approximately 2,240 units are affected.
- Consists of 22 bottles of water gel (12 non-sparkly and 10 sparkle), 22 molds in various shapes, a plastic strainer, a plastic jar labeled magic powder, an extra magic powder packet, a paint brush, disposable gloves, and an LED light with a button cell battery.

The recall was initiated on January 8, 2026, after it was discovered that the battery compartment can be easily accessed by children. The products were sold online from March 2025 to July 2025.
