Kitchen Faucets recalled due to Dangerous Lead Exposure for Young Children, United States

Chenfeng Store has issued a recall for BASDEHEN brand kitchen faucets, model number CFDTTH-000-YGH, due to lead contamination that poses a risk to young children. These faucets were sold online through the Amazon Website in the USA from May 2024 to May 2025.Testing revealed that the recalled faucets can release lead into the water at levels that may pose a significant health risk, especially for infants and young children. Other harmful substances were also detected leaching from the products.
Lead exposure in early childhood is linked to serious neurological effects, such as reduced attention span, learning difficulties, and lower IQ.
AFFECTED PRODUCT:
- BASDEHEN Kitchen Faucets
- Model number CFDTTH-000-YGH
- Approximately 24,000 units are affected by this recall.
- The recalled faucets are matte black, single-handle models with a 360° swivel and spring spout design, detachable spray, optional mounting plate, and single-hole installation.
The issue was discovered through testing that revealed lead levels exceeding safety standards. The recall was initiated on May 29, 2025. No incidents or injuries have been reported in connection with this product.
