IKEA Recalls Garlic Presses Due to Laceration and Ingestion Hazards, United States

IKEA has announced a recall of its IKEA 365+ VÄRDEFULL garlic presses due to the risk of small metal pieces detaching, which could pose laceration or ingestion hazards. The affected products were sold at IKEA stores nationwide in the United States and online from March 2024 through May 2025. Approximately 43,830 units are affected in the United States, with an additional 10,700 sold in Canada.AFFECTED PRODUCT:
- IKEA 365+ VÄRDEFULL garlic presses
- Has a black rubber handle and zinc-coated garlic chamber.
- Only models with the IKEA logo are subject to the recall.
- The logo is located at the upper part of the handle.
The issue was identified following 10 incident reports globally, including three involving lacerations. The recall was initiated on July 31, 2025.
